LaughingBear Flutes
LaughingBear Flutes were made in Fresno in a garage. They are now made in the basement in Bayard, New Mexico. It doesn't take a lot of space to create a flute. Only a little bit of knowledge, a lot of patience and even more practice. LaughingBear Flutes are made using a variety of design concepts and are constantly evolving. As a result, LaughingBear is always learning, always experimenting. As confidence grows, so do the variations available. From LaughingBear:
"I've never been really good with wood. I wasn't really interested in it because there was so much to learn about electronics and computers. Now, I've been given a directive by Creator to stretch my mind and my skills past my comfort zone. I'm finding it incredibly challenging but also immensely rewarding."
LaughingBear has a pretty strong technical background covering a number of areas. Part of that background has involved video production. This is not to say that he is a professional videographer by any means! He enjoys it, though. Setting up the shot, determining the scene, creating the script. As a natural teacher, he has chosen to document the process by which he builds his flutes. This link will take you to a page that attempts to show the How To of LaughingBear Flutes.
The LaughingBear Flutes
"I've named the flutes by distinguishing marks. Sometimes it's a knot in the wood, sometimes a pattern I see. The names may not make sense to anyone but me! The point is, if you refer to a flute by the name I've given, either to inquire or order, I'll know which one to look at."
